My newphew's girlfriend had the baby on Wednesday.  A little girl that she named Lilly.  Maybe not so little.  8 lbs 12 oz.  Good size and healthy. 

We just found out that Chef's uncle passed over a year ago. He and his wife lived across the country and there were years that we didn't hear from them at Christmas.  Our card was returned this year with a note on it to call a phone number.  The park they lived in let us know that his uncle died in Oct 2007 and his aunt is suffering from Alzheimer's and is now in a home.  Apparently after his uncle passed, they asked his aunt if there was any family and she said no.  She was already too far gone.  The park and the state agency representative who took care of everything is now in touch with Chef.  I had hoped to meet them when we head to Tahoe in September.  They travelled quite a bit in their RV so it might have worked but alas, it was not meant to be.  Chef really liked this man but, as with a lot of men, did not keep in close touch.  RIP Uncle Homar.
