Makin' it up to escape reality

I've spent the last couple of weeks deep cleaning my house in preparation for the summer and my guests. I still have to do the toilets and sinks but everything else is done. I swear I'm going to kill anyone who comes in with dirt on their shoes or paws.
The shower is fixed finally but still needs tiling. I'll do that. Dad knows how and has the tools. I have other goals for the summer too. We have to paint the shed and the front steps. We have wood boring bees in the shed and apparently if you paint then the problem goes away. We were going to paint it a chocolate color but now I think that a lighter color might be better. I'll use the same color for the front steps and the side and cellar doors so it has to go with pale green (house color).
And I want to finish stripping the risers of the stairs to the 2nd floor. The people we bought the house from painted all the woodwork so we're slowly stripping it all back to it's 1928 glory. For all the woodwork we can't strip outside, I've been using this great stuff that is safe to use around kids and pets. You don't even need to wear gloves. You paint it on, then put this paper stuff over it and leave it for a day and then peel it off with the paper. Clean up is pretty easy.
Had a fun time in chat yesterday with all the BW members. We had 62 people show up and at one point there were 21 of us chatting. It was fun.
My mom gave me a bunch of her silver charms at Christmas. We always played with her charms when we were little because 90% of them have moveable parts. Anyway, I finally got the time to put the bracelet together and really look at the ones she gave me. The funniest one is an outhouse and you open the door and someone is sitting in it. I also got a toaster and the toast pops up.
An outhouse and toast - life is good. Now all I need is a watermelon-tini
